This company manufacturers urea tanks for heavy-duty transport trucks. Two Multi-4 Integrated dot peen marking machines were installed along the production line to decrease lead time and improve part traceability.
The first dot peen machine marks a 2D datamatrix code on the high-density polyethylene pieces. Afterward, the piece moves along the line and is scanned with a 2D datamatrix reader to ensure proper marking. As a final step, the second Multi-4 Integrated marks a timestamp on the component.
These two machines mark 250 urea tanks per day.
