This company produces close to 37 million tons of crude steel per year. This volume of steel output makes it the second largest steelmaker in the world, after ArcelorMittal.

One of this company’s factories specialized in manufacturing breaking discs for Japan Railways’ high speed train. They needed a custom marking solution for these discs, because multiple areas of the component required marking.

To solve this problem, Technomark provided two Multi-4 Integrated dot peen marking machines. One machine would mark the top of the piece, while the second machine would mark inside the flange of the piece.

This setup allowed the company to decrease delivery lead time by marking their parts in a single process step instead of switching orientations of a single machine. Plus, with patented Technomark software, the Multi-4 dot peen marking machines were able to mark the special characters Japan Railways specified.
