MARKING SOLUTION
Marking on small components is easy and fast. You can integrate a marking machine into assembly lines to have an entirely hands-off marking operation.
But marking on large or awkward parts is a little more challenging. This particular customer supplies the U.S. Air Force with massive airframe structures for military aircraft.
The marking area on the airframes was inside a small, recessed area on the underside of the frame, making accessibility difficult.
Technomark was up to the challenge and developed a customized solution based on the Multi-4 Bench 120 dot peen marking system.
The machine allows the operator to invert the marking head 180° on the Z-axis column with a swivel-mount adapter plate. An extended 100mm marking stylus package was integrated to reach the recessed marking surface.
Another industrial marking solution could have been the Multi-4 MINI, which is ideal for hard-to-reach marking faces.
